In a previous domain flipping tutorial we stated:
Online Auction Account – You will, on occasions, offer domain names for sale in an online auction. So we recommend you use an account with eBay. If you do not already have an eBay account, you can Sign Up Here. It’s free.this tutorial we are going to cover Selling Domain names Using Auctions.
In this Domain Flipping Tutorial we would like to expand on the topic “Selling Domain Names Using Auctions”.
Using online auctions accomplishes two major business objectives:
- they are an effective distribution channel to sell your domain names thereby converting inventory into ready cash; and
- they provide an excellent source of leads allowing you to add previous auction buyers to your mailing lists without being accused of spam;
At the outset let’s be clear. we are not talking solely about eBay auctions. Yes, eBay should be an integral part of your auction selling strategy especially as it is the easiest component to get rolling and one that normally produces quick results.
But you should be aware that there are several “big name” aftermarket auction sites, many specialised auctions available to you as a domainer and that there are domain name auctions taking place daily on different forum websites.
